Maybe it’s a fix to our goal-kicking concerns, or maybe it’s an NBA-inspired trend set to catch on.
Collingwood’s players showed up to their team meeting in style on Wednesday, with suits, jackets and ties all making a rare appearance.
Some appeared as though they were off to the races, while others looked like they’d just rolled out of bed.
The get-up came after the players lost a kicking competition to a selection of coaches at training last week.
“The deal was if you lose, you have to wear a full suit to our first day at the club this week,” Adam Treloar explained.
“It was the most uncomfortable team review I’ve ever sat in in my life.”

The midfielder also laid out an extension of the deal which may make one Magpie a lot less hairy.
“I might be wrong here, but Sando (Brenton Sanderson) and Faz (Alex Fasolo) have a little competition. They always compete against each other.
“They’re going to have a goal-kicking comp this week, and I think the loser is going to shave their head.”
Treloar and co-host Mark Allen also discuss:
- Freeing up against Geelong (3:40),
- The GWS Blues (5:20),
- Would you fight a heavyweight champ for $1mil? (6:30),
- Adam Oxley’s boxing nightmare (7:55),
- The best of young beating old (11:00),
- You wouldn’t believe it (13:15),
- The NBA’s one-horse race (14:40),
- Passing on superstitions (17:35),
- A finals fade promise (18:15),
- A Collingwood eSports team? (19:50) and more.
The Wednesday meeting walk of fame/shame...
Coach Nathan Buckley enjoys himself at the expense of James Aish, Tim Broomhead and Matthew Scharenberg.
Best dressed would have surely gone to Jeremy Howe, who let Meg Hutchins in on a few of his secrets.
Will Hoskin-Elliott and Max Lynch ham it up for the camera.
Tyson Goldsack and Brayden Maynard show some class.
Not sure if Connor McGregor or Steele Sidebottom and Scott Pendlebury...
Daniel Wells and Jack Crisp at attention in the meeting room.
