The AFL advises it has updated the fixture for Round Five of the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition.
The updates will see:
• The GWS GIANTS vs. St Kilda match originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, February 5 has been postponed with multiple GWS GIANTS players currently in AFL Health and Safety Protocols.
• The Western Bulldogs vs. Richmond match originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, February 5 will now be played on Sunday, February 6 to allow for the Bulldogs to have a five day break between matches.
• The Melbourne vs. Gold Coast SUNS match originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, February 6 has been brought forward. The match will now be played on Saturday, February 5 with the change to this time slot made as a result of the Western Bulldogs vs. Richmond match moving.
• The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos vs. Fremantle match originally scheduled to be played at 1:10pm on Sunday, February 6 will now be played at 5:10pm that day.
• St Kilda vs. West Coast Eagles – the Round Four match-up which was postponed due to the Eagles having multiple players in AFL Health and Safety Protocols – will take place in Round Five at Trevor Barker Oval on Tuesday, February 8.
AFL General Manager Competition Management Laura Kane said the league thanked everyone in the NAB AFLW Competition for their commitment to the season.
“While the ongoing pandemic continues to impact and challenge our competition and our wider community, we want to thank every AFLW Club, players and the AFLPA, umpires, venues, governments, ticketing agents and all supporters for their understanding and commitment to the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition,” Ms Kane said.
“The fixture remains a week-to-week proposition and the AFL will continue to work closely with respective state governments and health authorities on arrangements that both protects the health and safety of the community and allows us to progress the NAB AFLW season.”

*The match between St Kilda and the West Coast Eagles, originally scheduled to be played in Round Four, will take place in Round Five on Tuesday, February 8.
Please note: The above matches will all be considered as having been played during Round Five of the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition. For future reference, a round of Matches will include all games played within that week beginning on Wednesday until the following Tuesday.
Teams are able to participate in more than one match during the one round.
Matches in the 2022 NAB AFL Women’s Competition will be broadcast live on the Seven Network, FOX FOOTY and Kayo. Matches will also be streamed live via womens.afl and the AFLW Official App.
