Collingwood defender Jeremy Howe makes his long-awaited return from injury against West Coast on Saturday.

The 30-year-old has been itching to get back out there, with Robert Harvey saying he has done everything to be ready to go.

“He’s ticked off training... He’s been keen for a number of weeks now to get out there, so we’re rapt to get him back," Harvey said.

“We’re looking forward to getting a guy of his calibre back, he’s really important to our group.”

Chris Mayne, Will Hoskin-Elliott and Josh Thomas make their way back into the line-up after missing round 19.

Among the emergencies and in the mix to be named as medical substitute is Max Lynch, Nathan Murphy, Jay Rantall and Anton Tohill.

With Scott Pendlebury sidelined for the rest of the season with a leg injury, Steele Sidebottom will captain the side this week. The role is set to be shared between vice-captains Taylor Adams and Jeremy Howe in the coming weeks.
