Brodie Grundy is free to play in Collingwood’s first match of the home and away season.
The ruckman was charged with rough conduct after a collision with Western Bulldog Tory Dickson on Saturday, but is available for selection after accepting a $2000 sanction.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Bulldogs, the incident was assessed by the AFL’s Match Review Officer Michael Christian as careless with low impact to the head.
As a low-level classifiable first offence, the incident was classified as a $3000 sanction.
An early plea enabled Grundy to accept the $2000 sanction.
Grundy has played in 63 of Collingwood’s past 69 games. He was suspended for his tackle on North Melbourne’s Ben Brown in round 20 last year.
