PROFILE
Johnson has established himself as an explosive tall forward during his time with Sturt in the SANFL this season. Having been overlooked in previous drafts, the Pies believe he is ready to play at the next level with a spot on an AFL list. Johnson has booted 13 goals from six matches for the Double Blues this season and had a standout four goal performance against the Crows’ reserves in round five.
Playing for Scotch Old Collegians in 2018, he impressed booting 41 majors from 15 matches while also being crowned a premiership player which ultimately helped him be signed as a top-up player for the Crows’ SANFL side in 2019. His rookie-list selection makes him the sixth player from Halls Creek in the Kimberlys in the AFL. Johnson is also the cousin of Carlton’s Sam Petrevski-Steon and Gold Coast’s Jy Farrar.
