A childhood dream will become a reality for life-long Collingwood supporter, Trent Bianco who will make his AFL debut for the club this Saturday against Geelong.
The 20-year-old was told the news by coach Nathan Buckley in front of the squad on Thursday afternoon.
Bianco was selected by the Pies with pick 45 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft.
He spent the majority of his junior football playing in the midfield but has also proved successful running out half back.

Captaining the Oakleigh Chargers to their 2019 NAB League premiership, Bianco has established himself as a player with a strong kick and great decision-making skills.
His start to the 2021 season was delayed due to knee injury but in his two appearances for the Pies’ VFL side this season, Bianco has impressed with an average 26 disposals and has also led the team’s tackle count.
He is Collingwood’s seventh debutant this season.
“It’s still sinking in but I’m excited to finally get out there, contribute and play my role for the team," Bianco told collingwoodfc.com.au.
“I’ve worked really hard for this opportunity and I’m going to give it my best shot come Saturday.”
