The AFL has today released the dates and times for Rounds Seven and Eight of the VFL Premiership Season, together the rounds will form the 2021 Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
In Round 7, the Pies will take on a strong Geelong VFL side in a curtain closer on the MCG. In a return to the MCG for the VFL, the Pies will look to make it two wins from two for the men's teams on the day.
Geelong have gotten off to an undefeated start to the VFL season, so a tough encounter is on the horizon. Fans will be able to watch the match on Kayo for free, or for those fans at the AFL match, they will be able to remain at the ground to support the VFL boys.
Round 8 will have the Pies travelling a short distance north to Preston Oval to take on the Northern Bullants. After almost folding during 2020, the now stand-alone club has had a challenging start to the season. Facing a variety of tough opponents, the Bullants will bring the fight to the Pies in what should be an entertaining match. Ex-Collingwood rookie-listed player, Liam Mackie will play against the Pies for the first time.
