As reported on Monday evening, Jeremy Howe has been struck will a blow in his return from a hamstring issue and will now have surgery.
Disappointedly, draftee Reef McInnes went down in the VFL over the weekend with an ankle injury, which has been diagnosed as a medium grade syndesmosis. McInnes won't require surgery.
Taylor Adams and Jamie Elliott continue to progress well and will look to be available before the bye round.

Anton Tohill (adductor) - Expected return: Test for this weekend
- Took no further part in the VFL match against Coburg after adductor tightness surfaced in the first half. Scans cleared Tohill of any damage and will be a test ahead of the weekend.
Taylor Adams (knee) - Expected return: 3-4 weeks
- Ahead of schedule with running conditioning. Completing 8-9km of work during sessions and will start to look at change of direction running and move into two weeks of high level football training. Adams is hoping to be available before the bye.
Jamie Elliott (lower leg) - Expected return: 4-5 weeks
- Progressing well with running program. Elliott has begun low level football work which includes change of direction and leading work. Likely to be available before the bye.
Levi Greenwood (concussion) - Expected return: TBA
- Still suffering concussion symptoms when increasing training load. Greenwood has gone back to low level running conditioning and will aim to build up.
Jeremy Howe (hamstring) - Expected return: 12-14 weeks
- Set for surgery as per Monday's report. Howe will have surgery on Thursday to repair scar tissue that is as a result of PCL surgery. Full explanation in below video.
Max Lynch (calf) - Expected return: 2 weeks
- Calf complaint after the round 3 VFL match. Lynch will complete running conditioning this week and move into full football training next week.
Reef McInnes (syndesmosis) - Expected return: 8-10 weeks
- Injured his ankle early in round 4 of the VFL. Medium grade syndesmosis injury, positively won't require surgery.
Nathan Murphy (concussion) - Expected return: 1 week
- Received a knock during the North Melbourne game. As per AFL protocols, Murphy will sit out 12 days.
Jordan Roughead (concussion) - Expected return: 1 week
- Similar to Murphy, a knock in round 8 and will sit out the mandatory 12 days.
