Collingwood forward Kristy Stratton has been informed today she will not be offered a contract for the 2022 season.

Stratton was drafted to Collingwood in the 2017 AFL Women’s draft at pick 21. The 26-year-old played 11 games across her four-year career at the club.

This year Stratton was called up on three occasions, two being in the qualifying and preliminary finals.

Known as a hard-working midfielder, Stratton was named an emergency for the team on several occasions.

Stratton will continue her football journey with Hawthorn’s VFLW side.

Collingwood’s GM of Women’s Sport, Jane Woodlands-Thompson, thanked Stratton for her years of service.

“‘Stratts’ has been a resilient teammate and we thank her for her contribution to the women’s football programs over the past four years,” Woodlands-Thompson said.

“Although it won’t be with Collingwood, we wish ‘Stratts’ all the best with her football endeavours.”
