For the second time in the 2021 AFLW Season, Brianna Davey has polled the maximum 10 votes in the AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award.
Davey was one of six Pies to receive votes in a commanding team performance which resulted in a 20-point win over North Melbourne last Saturday.
The 26-year old was also rewarded with selection in the AFLW Team of the Week for her standout display, recording 31 disposals, 13 contested possessions and seven clearances against a highly-touted Kangaroos midfield.
Chloe Molloy featured amongst the vote-getters for the first time this year, polling seven votes for her two-goal haul. The match marked the seventh consecutive outing that Molloy has hit the scoreboard – the equal longest streak of any AFLW player. Her efforts also earned her selection in the AFLW Team of the Week, alongside the co-captain.
Jaimee Lambert (four votes) and Brittany Bonnici (three votes) rounded out Collingwood’s midfield dominance, the latter now holding fourth position on the overall leaderboard with a total of 28 votes.
Defenders Ruby Schleicher (two votes) and Stacey Livingstone (one vote) were recognised for their efforts in holding the Kangaroos goalless for the first time in AFLW history.
Schleicher’s appearance was her fourth consecutive week of votes, while Livingstone’s 16 disposals and eight marks also earned her selection in the AFLW Team of the Week.
