Collingwood utility Dayne Beams has capped off a brilliant return to the field over the last fortnight by polling nine votes from the two head coaches in Saturday night's win over Port Adelaide.
Beams, who missed six matches with a broken foot, polled a game-high nine votes in AFLCA champion player of the year voting from both Mick Malthouse and Matthew Primus.
The 53-game Magpie had 32 possessions, nine marks and three goals in the record win and is in superb touch averaging 28.5 disposals and 2.5 goals over his last two games.

Next best was Jarryd Blair, who received a combined seven votes (five and two) for his skillful efforts in the wet. The 21-year-old kicked four goals and has now booted 23 goals for the year, fourth most at the club.
Leon Davis' work down back was worthy of six votes holding Cameron Hitchcock scoreless with just five possessions in the 78-minute matchup. The veteran is enjoying a purple patch polling votes in his last three games.
Last year's AFLCA champion player of the year Dane Swan also polled six votes for his game-high 37 disposals and three goals.
Vice captain Scott Pendlebury (31 disposals, nine tackles and one goal) managed one vote and has now polled in his last seven games.
For the Power, Travis Boak (37 disposals and eight inside 50s) did well to feature in the voting (one) in the side's record loss.
Pendlebury is now 13 votes behind overall competition leader Marc Murphy (83 votes) with four rounds remaining in the season. Pendlebury has a game in hand over leader Murphy with Carlton scheduled for its final bye in round 23.
Past winners of the prestigious award include Swan (2010), Gary Ablett Jnr (2007-09), Simon Goodwin and Adam Goodes (joint winners in 2006), Barry Hall (2005) and Warren Tredrea (2004).
