Collingwood’s squad for Sunday’s official practice match against North Melbourne has been named.

All six new draftees are set to put on the black and white for their first official hit-out including father-daughter pick Tarni Brown. Former Demon Aliesha Newman is also set to make her first appearance as a Magpie.  

It will also be the first occasion Steph Chiocci and Brianna Davey will together lead out the team as co-captains alongside Sharni Norder (nee Layton) as vice-captain.

While the Magpies have taken part in internal match simulation sessions throughout the pre-season, Sunday’s practice match will provide the perfect opportunity for the coaches and playing group identify any areas needing fine-tuning ahead of the season opener on Thursday January 28.  

While Sunday’s match will be closed to the public due to COVID-19 protocols, fans can tune into Collingwood’s AFLW Instagram and Twitter accounts for photos and updates from the match.

The game will kick off at 11.30am at Ikon Park.
