Firsts are always momentous, but none more so than when you step out in a Collingwood singlet alongside names such as Pendlebury, Ball, Beams, Sidebottom and Blair.

That was the lot of Collingwood's excited draftees as they ran out onto Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning.

Share the experiences of Collingwood's four newest recruits on their first day as league footballers on CTV in the video above.

The quartet, comprising Brodie Grundy, Ben Kennedy, Tim Broomhead and Jackson Ramsay, formally introduced themselves to the playing group, coaches and staff members minutes before making the trek to the Paddock for their first training session.

As they are only fresh out of the junior ranks, the four draftees mixed with the senior players during several kicking drills early in the session before leaving the track a little earlier than their new teammates as they sought to acquaint themselves with other aspects of life as an AFL footballer.
