Kieran Butler's reverse curse continues unabated!
Kieran Butler was in Adelaide last Saturday preparing to perform ‘Collingwood ruined my Life’ to another sold out audience that night.
You may already be aware that each time he performed the show in 2006 on a match day Collingwood won every single time, so it was a tough afternoon for him as he nervously listened to a broadcast of the Fremantle and Port Adelaide in the hope of hearing the progress scores from the Collingwood game at the MCG.
As any Collingwood fan in South Australia will tell you it is a nightmare to get a live TV or radio broadcast of any other AFL game if Port Adelaide or the Crows are playing interstate – so it was just a case of waiting and hoping as the Pies stormed home in the last quarter.
It looked like Kieran’s perfect record would go by the wayside when the umpire awarded Shannon Grant a 50 metre penalty so Kieran is now claiming that his ‘Reverse Curse’ must surely have reared its head when the umpire couldn’t work out how far 50 metres was from the 50 metre line!
Kieran is back in Melbourne for the opening night of his show this coming Wednesday at the Carringbush Hotel. There are still $10.00 tickets available for this first preview show.
