The girls in grades five and six at Heany Park Primary School took on the mighty Magpies for the Westpac Community Cup at Gosch's Paddock on Tuesday afternoon.

It was a keenly contested match, but the strong backline of Heany Park held off a star-studded Collingwood side that included the likes of Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom to win in convincing fashion.

The girls then joined the players back at the Westpac Centre where they got to know their Collingwood idols.

Jackson Paine took to the role of field umpire with aplomb.



Youngsters Brodie Grundy, Ben Kennedy, Tim Broomhead, Jackson Ramsay and Ben Richmond took the girls on a lap of Gosch's Paddock before the match.



One last word from Pendles.



Steele Sidebottom was identified by Heany Park as the Magpies' danger man.



And it soon meant that Steele had to be the one doing the tagging.



Not even the road runner himself Caolan Mooney could keep pace with this youngster.
