Pies unchanged
Collingwood will take an unchanged line-up into the round two showdown with West Coast at Subiaco on Saturday night.
The Magpies looked just about beaten when trailing by nearly five goals against the Kangaroos in round one last week, but stormed home to notch a thrilling three-point win, and have decided to stick with the side that got them the victory.
Significantly three young players yet to debut at AFL level have been named as emergencies for the Magpies in Daniel Nicholls, Alan Toovey and Shannon Cox, suggesting the club has plenty of young talent pushing for senior selection.
The Eagles have brought in star ruckman Dean Cox and Norm Smith Medallist Andrew Embley, although Cox, along with captain Chris Judd, is some doubt to take his place.
Collingwood has a good recent record against West Coast, having defeated the Eagles in round 16 last year by 37 points at Telstra Dome, after falling by just 14 points in an excellent contest at Subiaco in round seven. The clubs met once each in 2004 and 2005, with the Magpies winning both encounters.
