Collingwood’s Travis Cloke was considered best on ground by the two head coaches in Saturday night’s match with the 24-year-old polling the maximum 10 votes in the AFLCA champion player of the year competition for his six-goal performance.

Both Collingwood's Mick Malthouse and Sydney's John Longmire allocated five votes each to the star forward, who has now polled 19 votes from his past two games.
Dane Swan looks back to his best after collecting 33 disposals and booting one goal and polled eight votes for his work (four from each coach). It’s the first votes the midfielder has received since he polled 10 in the round four win over Richmond.
Vice-captain Scott Pendlebury polled one vote with 25 disposals and seven tackles while Chris Tarrant’s work on Jesse White and his game-saving spoils in the final term also earned him one vote.
Sydney’s Jarrad McVeigh led the way with five votes for his four goal and 17 disposal game. Teammates Mark Seaby (three votes: 39 hitouts) and Ryan O’Keefe (two votes: 23 disposals and two goals) also featured.
Swan, the 2010 competition winner, now sits atop the club leader board with Dale Thomas three votes back. Past winners of the prestigious award include Gary Ablett Jnr (2007-09), Simon Goodwin and Adam Goodes (joint winners in 2006), Barry Hall (2005) and Warren Tredrea (2004).
