Yarra City Council invites local residents to an Open Day at Victoria Park on Sunday 16 August, from 10am.

On the day, Council will be opening three gates to the park which will remain open from then onwards: those in Lulie Street (next to the Social Club building), Abbot Street (the former maintenance entrance) and at the corner of Bath St/Turner St (the large roller door).

During the Open Day, you will have an opportunity to explore the park and some of its historic features and view displays of how the park will look as it is progressively “opened up”. Councillors and Council officers will be on hand to discuss the implementation of the Master Plan, which was formed after much community consultation in 2005. We will also be able to answer any questions you may have about the future sporting use of the oval and the future uses of the Social Club building.

Council has also invited the Collingwood Football Club and the Fitzroy Stars to take part in the day.

There is no need to RSVP, but if you have any questions about the Open Day, please call on 9205 5555.
