Pies stroll down Ramsay Street
Cameron Wood, Alan Toovey, Tyson Goldsack and Travis Cloke all made an appearance on Australia's longest running soap, Neighbours.
Most players prefer to relax and sleep in on their days of but Cameron Wood, Alan Toovey, Tyson Goldsack and Travis Cloke spent this week acting as extras on the set of 'Neighbours'. The boys got the gig thanks to Wood who is a big fan of the show.
“Acting is something I’ve always wanted to try and what better place to give it a shot than on Australia’s longest running soap,” Wood said.
The boys went down to the studios in Nunawading where they were taken on a tour of the studios by cast member James Mason who plays Chris Pappas in the show and is also a big Collingwood fan. They visited sets including Harrold’s Store, the Kennedy’s Lounge Room, Charlies Bar and Lasiters Cafe.
Wood said it was surreal seeing the places he’s seen so many times on TV.
"Everything looked much smaller than on TV but it was really exciting to see everything and to stand in the sets where they film the scenes."
The four players were required to act as extras in two scenes which were located in the gym. Each player ‘worked out’ on a different piece of gym equipment in the scenes, which took nearly two hours to film.
The players made it through the two scenes with Wood only laughing in the middle of a take once.
The episode will screen in September this year, stay tuned to collingwoodfc.com.au for further details.
