Collingwood delisted Peter Yagmoor ahead of the third list lodgement deadline but the Queenslander could yet remain with the Magpies as a rookie.

Yagmoor played two matches in 2012, his first season with the club, and Collingwood director of football Geoff Walsh explained that the plan is to bring him back into the fold via  next month’s rookie draft should he be available. An application has been made to the AFL for Yagmoor to continue training with club and he will travel to Utah with the squad for its altitude camp next week.

“Pete has definite attributes and a terrific attitude that we feel he can make a good career out of. If they are available, we will use two of our rookie selections next month on Pete and Ben Hudson,” Walsh said.

Yagmoor, from Cairns, was a pre-listed Gold Coast Suns zone player but was exchanged for pick 47 in the 2011 national draft.

The 2012 Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts will be held on Tuesday, December 11.
