Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams says the group are well placed ahead of Friday night’s clash against the GWS Giants at Giants Stadium.

“It feels like we are in routine. I think we're in a great place, the guys are obviously still really fresh and we're up for the grind now,” Adams told the RSN Breakfast Club.

Not dwelling on the preliminary final loss last season, Adams is focused on the task at hand this week.

“What happened last year is completely out of our control now. We can't alter that result; the Giants were a better team in September last year. I think we're a better team now,” Adams said.

Josh Daicos has taken his game to a new level this season with back-to-back performances, the vice-captain was full of praise for the rising midfielder.

“He's learnt what's good for his body, he had a great routine over his time off, and we're seeing the results of that through his games,” Adams said.

The Pies will name their final team for the round four clash at 6.20pm on Thursday.
