Geelong may be without two of its premiership champions when it takes on Collingwood on Saturday night.

Veteran forward Paul Chapman is tipped to miss at least one more game due to hamstring soreness while backman James Kelly will face the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday evening as he challenges a two match suspension for rough conduct.

"I'm not going to say I'm very confident (that Chapman will play against Collingwood this week) again because I've just been saying it every week," Geelong coach Chris Scott told the media on Tuesday.

"We didn't think he'd miss a week. He trained the last session before the game against the Bulldogs and just didn't quite come up.

"Potentially, there's another course of action that we need to take, which might make him questionable for this week, but I'm just not in a position to confirm that just yet."

Chapman has not played since Geelong's win over Sydney in round four.

Meanwhile, Kelly will challenge his two match ban for rough conduct against Essendon’s Brendon Goddard on Friday night.

Should he lose his case, his suspension will remain at two games.

Other names on Geelong’s injury list include Joel Corey (knee), Josh Hunt (glandular fever), Hamish McIntosh (knee), Daniel Menzel (knee), Jared Rivers (knee) and Travis Varcoe (shoulder).
