Alex Fasolo will face the VFL Tribunal after being charged with engaging in rough conduct during Sunday’s loss to Williamstown.

Fasolo tangled with Williamstown’s Charlie Nastasi during the second quarter of Sunday’s match at Point Gellibrand and was cited on trial by video.

Should Fasolo receive a one match suspension, it will effectively rule him out of the next fortnight of football at any level due to Collingwood’s bye this weekend as a result of the State of Origin match between the VFL and the WAFL.

“We’ve decided to take it to the Tribunal. We think there are grounds to do that,” Collingwood Director of Football Geoff Walsh said.

The 20-year-old, who kicked two goals in his side’s six-point loss, will face the VFL Tribunal on Tuesday evening.
