Few footballers get to live their childhood dream by running out onto the MCG for the team they grew up supporting.

But as it stands, that scenario may prove to be Patrick Karnezis' destiny.

The 22-year-old ex-Lion, who joined Collingwood on the final day of last October's trade period, is the headline act of tonight's episode of The Club on Fox Footy.

The onset of osteitis pubis meant Karnezis made a slow start to his life at the Westpac Centre but since making his VFL debut against Coburg, he has kicked 10 goals in four games and caught the eye with five scoring shots against Bendigo on Saturday.

The Club hears about Karnezis' return to Melbourne, meets his diehard Collingwood family and tracks his progress as he heads towards his AFL debut.

Tonight's episode also features a flashback to the draw with West Coast in the 1990 Qualifying Final and a chat with two of the team's most promising youngsters.

Don’t miss The Club on Fox Footy (channel 504) at 9.30pm (AEST) every Wednesday.
