Three Magpies have been nominated for the 2020 AFLW Players’ Association’s Most Valuable Player Award.

It was another stellar season in the midfield for Jaimee Lambert who received multiple on field performances in 2020. The 25-year-old also finished the season as runner up for the AFL Coach’s Association’s AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award.

Also receiving a nomination is Collingwood foundation player Brittany Bonnici. Running out for her best season yet, the 23-year-old offered consistent pressure around the contest and was a crucial ball-winner for Pies.

She has also been nominated for the AFLWPA's Most Courageous Award.

In just her second year in the game, Sharni Layton showed major signs of improvement. The 32-year-old established herself as a leading ruck within the competition having averaged an impressive 17 hit-outs.

All three recently received spots in the All-Australian Squad that was announced earlier this month.

Players cannot vote for a player from their own club during stage two of the voting process.

The awards will be announced in a special roll out of digital content on the AFL Players’ Association’s website and social media channels on Monday April 20.
