The Pies are a Fantasy football powerhouse. For the last few years, they have ranked as the top scoring team overall, and in 2019 Collingwood had a whopping eight players average more than 90 points with four over 100.
One of the most consistent players is Scott Pendlebury (MID, $769,000).
The skipper has averaged more than 100 points in every season since 2009, ranking him first for Fantasy points scored for the last decade and fourth on the list by average over that time. He's someone you don't want to sleep on in Fantasy Draft for his consistency and durability.
A Pie you should be targeting early in the first round of your draft is Adam Treloar (MID, $839,000). He recorded career-high numbers in 2019, averaging 113.1 from 22 games. Since joining Collingwood, the former Giant has averaged 110.7 in his four seasons.
Jack Crisp (DEF, $725,000) is the third-ranked defender this year, based on his 2019 average. He is a safe selection as he's played every game for the last five years. He has every opportunity to maintain his average of 97.7, based on his finish to the season where he averaged 105 in the last 10 rounds playing roles in defence and through the midfield.
Lock them in
Brodie Grundy (RUC, $906,000) was the No.1 Fantasy Draft selection in 2019 based on ADP (average draft pick) and after averaging 122.1, the newly crowned Fantasy Pig is set to be the consensus first pick on draft day this year. In Classic, he is the definition of a set-and-forget ruckman. It's a big price to pay, but you don't just get one Grundy, you get two. With eight of his scores 145 or more last season, the 25-year-old is a walk-up captain option and should average over 120 for the third year straight.
Track their pre-season
He's easy to spot on the training track with his new hair-do and Jordan De Goey (FWD, $626,000)is worth keeping an eye on for his role. Although he's an elite forward, kicking 34 goals last season, the 23-year-old has enjoyed some midfield stints that can help boost his numbers. De Goey is worth a look in Fantasy Draft as he has gradually increased his Fantasy average across his five-year career. If he's fit and firing, De Goey will rank higher as a forward than he did last year following many of premium Fantasy forwards from last season are listed as MID only this year.
Dual-position tempter
Unless another bargain-priced ruck puts his hand up this pre-season, Darcy Cameron (RUC/FWD, $170,000) could get another gig on our benches. Not only is he some insurance if Grundy misses a week, his dual-position flexibility may help cover if one of your on-field rucks is out. Some coaches are looking at Jonathon Patton, who also has RUC/FWD eligibility, in the forward line in order to take advantage of this strategy.

Draft sleeper
In a moon boot prior to Christmas, Taylor Adams (MID, $706,000) is back on the track and could be considered as a premium who is ranked (and priced) below his potential output. Back in 2017 Adams averaged 114.7 in the only season he's played 22 games. In the last two seasons he has averaged 95.1 with the most recent coming from only 10 games. One of those scores was an injury-affected 49. With just 10 per cent of his scores in the last five years under 80, Adams is a consistent performer who should average triple figures if his body is right.
Bargain basement
If Jay Rantall (MID, $192,000) can turn his pre-season time trial wins into games and Fantasy points, then he'll be a profitable cash cow. The former basketballer has finished first in both 2km time trials since joining the club in November. Rantall averaged 97.4 in the NAB League, although this was not quite as high as fellow draftee Trent Bianco (DEF/MID, $182,000) who averaged 104. Collingwood look to have some more high-scoring players coming through.
Forgotten warrior
Jeremy Howe (DEF, $515,000) may appear a long way down draft rankings following his 69.4 average last season. In his previous three years at the Pies, Howe averaged 82.3, 89.9 and 82.5 and if he can bring his mark count back up, he should take his average 80-plus again. In Collingwood's two finals appearances, Howe scored 114 and 107.
Buyer beware
It is always tempting to select Jamie Elliott (FWD, $502,000). Since his third season where he averaged 83.8, he has missed 59 out of 110 games. While there is upside, the risk is too great in Fantasy Classic or Draft to select him, even as a potential bargain.
