Didak set for scans
Star forward Alan Didak will wait on scans to determine the extent of another groin injury
"'Dids' had a strain in pre-season and it took him a little while to get over it, but the indications are it might be a less acute version of that so we'll see how we go," Buckley said following Collingwood's Queen's Birthday win over the Dees.
Buckley said the Magpies would not know the true extent of Didak's left adductor injury until he had scans on Tuesday.
Didak limped from the ground after just one minute and 40 seconds of play against Melbourne after shanking a shot at goal that dribbled out of bounds.
He went straight into Collingwood's rooms to be assessed and was subbed out of the game, with substitute Tom Young taking the field at the 4:23 mark of the first quarter.
It was the third earliest substitution in 2012, behind that of Adelaide's Jared Petrenko, who was substituted off in round four after just 52 seconds, and West Coast's Mitch Brown, who was substituted after 4:20 in round five.
Collingwood took a very conservative approach with Didak's rehabilitation from his pre-season groin injury, making him play several games in the VFL before recalling him for round seven against the Brisbane Lions.
After taking a while to find his feet, Didak had been impressive in recent weeks.
