About Kim Williams
An Australian media executive and composer, Williams has spearheaded several high profile organisations including Foxtel, News Limited and the Australian Film Commission.
He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to arts administration in 2006, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters by Macquarie University in 2009.
Williams’ background in music saw him win a Commonwealth scholarship to the University of Sydney, having composed music from an early age.
During his working life, Wdilliams has also served in several management roles in music, the Australian Film Commission and the Australian Broadcasting Commission before joining Foxtel and later News Limited.
He joined the AFL Commission in February 2014.
