Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury has continued his remarkable polling streak in the AFL Coaches Association Champion player of the year award.

On a disappointing night against the Cats, Pendlebury received one vote from coaches Nathan Buckley and Chris Scott for his performance in the midfield.

The 27-year-old had 24 disposals, eight tackles, five inside 50s and kicked Collingwood’s only goal in the second quarter.

Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe (50 votes) is a runaway leader of the prestigious award with Pendlebury sitting equal third on 30 votes.

He has polled votes in all six games this season and received a maximum ten votes for his performance last week in the Magpies 75-point thrashing of Carlton.

While Pendlebury was the only Collingwood player to pole on Friday night, Geelong’s Mitch Duncan was awarded 10 votes for his 38-disposal performance.
