Voting for the Magpie Army Player of the Year Award is underway for 2015.
Collingwood Media looks at the performances of some of the players who may warrant your votes following the 74-point win over St Kilda in round three.
Collingwood’s top performers
36. Dane Swan
Statistics: 27 kicks, 12 handballs, 39 disposals, 7 clearances, 15 inside 50s.
Swan was simply superb against St Kilda on Friday night. He relished the wet conditions and silenced any doubters with a 39-possession performance. When the Magpies were challenged early, Swan was the one that stepped up. He had a record 15 inside 50s and his seven clearances showed a strong rapport with ruckman Brodie Grundy.
32. Travis Cloke
Statistics: 14 kicks, 1 handball, 15 disposals, 7 marks, 5 goals.
Cloke has a knack of finding the goals against the Saints. After a quiet start to 2015 in front of goal, his bag of 5.4 against the Saints was exactly what the big forward needed. He had 15 disposals and was expectantly reliable when it came to marking the ball. While his accuracy in front of goal posed a minor concern, three goals in the final quarter see Cloke take good form into ANZAC Day.
VOTE: Your 3-2-1 in the Magpie Army Player of the Year Award.
25. Jack Crisp
Statistics: 13 kicks, 10 handballs, 23 disposals, 7 inside 50s, 6 clearances, 9 tackles.
Crisp’s 23 disposals marked a career high for the Lion turned Magpie. The possessions will be worth remembering too as he sent the ball inside 50 seven times. On the defensive side of the ball, Crisp's tackling efforts were strong. His nine was a team high and a personal best in his 21-game career.
10. Scott Pendlebury
Statistics: 12 kicks, 17 handballs, 29 disposals, 79.3% disposal efficiency, 7 frees for.
If the umpires were allowed to vote, they would probably be giving their Magpie Army Award votes to Scott Pendlebury on the weekend. Pendlebury was the recipient of a game-high seven free kicks as he collected 29 disposals in the 74-point win. The skippers use of the ball was once again exemplary as he finished with a disposal efficiency of 79.3 per cent.
