The best player in the competition throughout the 2016 home and away season will be judged tonight at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne.

As usual, there will be large Black and White flavour at the AFL’s night of nights. Below is the all the information you need to follow the Magpies at the Brownlow Medal.

Which Magpies are attending?
Scott Pendlebury, Adam Treloar, Taylor Adams, Ben Reid, Jeremy Howe

Who is ineligible due to Match Review Panel penalties?
Steele Sidebottom

Where will the votes come from?
Round 2 – Collingwood 13.9 (87) def. Richmond 12.14 (86)

Player: Alex Fasolo
Statistics: 14 disposals, 6 marks, 6 goals
Notes: Fasolo only has one career Brownlow vote to date, but three more may be coming his way after a stellar night against the Tigers. He kicked a career-high six goals in a thrilling one-point Collingwood victory.

Round 5 – Collingwood 22.10 (142) def. 11.7 (73)
Player: Steele Sidebottom
Statistics: 33 disposals, 7 marks, 4 goals
Notes: Sidebottom walked away from the MCG with the ANZAC Day Medal around his neck after a dominant performance against the Bombers. Competition for votes will come from his fellow midfielders however. Three other Magpies (Scott Pendlebury, Adam Treloar and Taylor Adams) tipped over 30 disposals in the 69-point victory.

Round 8 – Collingwood 20.23 (143) def. Brisbane Lions 10.5 (65)
Player:
Adam Treloar
Statistics: 36 disposals, 3 goals, 8 inside 50s
Notes: 36 touches, three goals, three behinds, three tackles… three votes. Adam Treloar played one of his best games of the season on the road in round eight. He scored a perfect-10 votes from the respective coaches of the Pies and Lions, with Scott Pendlebury and Taylor Adams also featuring.

Round 9 – Collingwood 16.8 (104) def. Geelong 11.14 (80)
Player:
Scott Pendlebury
Statistics: 26 disposals, 3 goals, 4 clearances
Notes: Raffle this one off between the captain and his deputy Steele Sidebottom. Sidebottom had more of the ball, but Pendlebury hit the scoreboard three times as the Magpies upset the Cats at the MCG. The one vote? Jeremy Howe stood out in a new role behind the ball, while Levi Greenwood ensured Joel Selwood had a quiet day at the office.

Round 10 – Collingwood 7.11 (53) def. by Western Bulldogs 11.8 (74)
Player: Ben Reid
Statistics: 22 disposals, 13 marks, 3 rebound 50s
Notes: Can a Magpie salvage a vote from an afternoon where injuries tore us apart? Ben Reid might be the best bet. The defender took a career-high 13 marks as he combined with Jeremy Howe to repel a number of Bulldogs’ attacks.

Round 14 – Collingwood 12.13 (85) def. Fremantle 5.7 (37)
Player: Adam Treloar
Statistics: 33 disposals, 1 goal, 6 clearances
Notes: Lock in a Collingwood 3, 2, 1 here, with the leader of the bunch likely to be Adam Treloar. The midfielder responded to the bye with a 33-disposal performance and kicked a goal late in the game which could stick in the umpire’s memories. In just his ninth AFL game, Josh Smith might be a chance for a sneaky one-vote here.

Round 15 – Collingwood 8.9 (57) def. Carlton 6.9 (45)
Player:
Scott Pendlebury
Statistics: 34 disposals, 8 clearances, 1 goal
Notes: Ugly game this one, although beating the old enemy left a nice taste. Scott Pendlebury was the standout, with the captain collecting 34 touches on a wet Saturday night at the MCG. Give him the three and move on to the next one, Gil.

Round 16 – Collingwood 19.11 (125) def. GWS Giants 14.9 (93)
Player:
Brodie Grundy
Statistics: 26 disposals, 6 clearances, 28 hit-outs
Notes: A solid spread of performers in one of the best wins of the season. The pick of the bunch could very well be Grundy for his role in the ruck against Shane Mumford. Having never polled a Brownlow vote in his 62-game career, the South Australian did everything right at Spotless Stadium and finished with a career-high 26 disposals.

Round 19 – Collingwood 13.13 (91) def. West Coast 11.6 (72)
Player:
Scott Pendlebury
Statistics: 34 disposals, 13 tackles, 6 clearances
Notes: In a game where Collingwood’s 22 morphed into tackling machines, Scott Pendlebury led the way. It’ll be a toss of the coin between the skipper and Taylor Adams for the three here. However Pendlebury won more free kicks than any other Magpie. Could this be the edge he needs to get three votes?

Round 21 – Collingwood 14.8 (92) def. by Western Bulldogs 14.8 (92)
Player:
Adam Treloar
Statistics: 35 disposals, 1 goal, 9 tackles
Notes: Three points separated the Magpies and Bulldogs in their second meeting of the season, but could the three votes be coming home to the Holden Centre? Adam Treloar had the most disposals on the ground and was explosive throughout the tightly-contested game at Etihad Stadium.

Round 22 – Collingwood 16.22 (118) def. Gold Coast Suns 6.11 (47)
Player:
Adam Treloar
Statistics: 38 disposals, 6 tackles, 7 inside 50s
Notes: Career-high night for the ultra-talented midfield recruit. Treloar’s 38 possessions capped off a dominant performance in which Josh Smith and Scott Pendlebury starred and Brodie Grundy debuted an interesting new hairstyle.

Round 23 – Collingwood 17.9 (111) def. by Hawthorn 17.10 (112)
Player:
Adam Treloar
Statistics: 36 disposals, 2 goals, 10 clearances
Notes: More recognition in this game and Treloar could cap off a late run of votes to rival anyone else in the competition. He once again tallied over 30 touches and kicked a late goal which without a miracle from Jack Fitzpatrick would have led Hawthorn to beat the reigning premiers.
