Voting for the Magpie Army Player of the Year Award is underway for 2015.
Collingwood Media looks at the performances of some of the players who may warrant your votes following the 27-point loss to Adelaide in round two.
Collingwood’s top performers
43. Adam Oxley
Statistics: 22 kicks, 11 handballs, 33 disposals, 2 marks, 12 rebound 50s.
In his first full game (he’s played three as a substitute), Oxley played off half back and eclipsed his career best disposal tally by a whopping 25 touches. His 12 rebound 50s was seven more than anyone else on the ground.
10. Scott Pendlebury
Statistics: 18 kicks, 11 handballs, 32 disposals, 5 marks, 5 inside 50s, 3 clearances.
The skipper led from the front and racked up his first 30-plus disposal game of the season. Twenty-two of these came in the first half as he sent the ball inside 50 four times. He finished with five – the equal most of any of his teammates.
VOTE: Choose your 3-2-1 from Saturday's match in the Magpie Army Player of the Year Award.
11. Jarryd Blair
Statistics: 5 kicks, 9 handballs, 14 disposals, 3 goals, 4 clearances, 6 tackles.
After kicking two goals against Brisbane, Blair was a multiple goal kicker again with a team high three straight against Adelaide. He laid six tackles and his use of the ball was exceptional as he disposed of the ball at 93 per cent efficiency.
45. Jack Frost
Statistics: 2 kicks, 5 handballs, 7 disposals, 4 contested possessions, 7 one-percenters
Frost didn’t have a massive day on the stats sheet, but that wasn’t the mission. The trusted full back kept Adelaide spearhead Taylor Walker to just two goals. With the Crows midfielders in control of the game this was no mean feat. Seven one-percenters for Frost will have Nathan Buckley patting him on the back this week.
