Collingwood draftee Isaac Quaynor can’t wait to begin his first pre-season at the Holden Centre.
The 18-year-old, who is a graduate of the Pies’ Next Generation Academy, was selected with pick 13 in Thursday night’s NAB AFL Draft first round at Marvel Stadium.
When he spoke to collingwoodfc.com.au after being drafted, he said his initial goals were quite straight forward.
“Firstly, it’s to get into the club and earn the respect of my teammates and obviously get to know the coaching staff and all the people around the club,” Quaynor said.
“And then obviously to get on the track and start making some gains and getting myself better and developing myself and hopefully make a senior debut at some point.
“I guess that comes with all the hard work you’ve got to do before it, so it’s a long road and I’m excited to get into it.”
Quaynor and his fellow draftees will begin their new lives as Collingwood players at the Holden Centre on Monday.
