Peter Daicos was the idol of all Collingwood fans in the modern era.

Daicos originally was a fanatical South Melbourne supporter, but his family shifted from the South zone and Collingwood recruited Daicos from Preston RSL.

He was a star from his first game, against St Kilda. He had 28 possessions (as centreman) in a Collingwood record score of 31.21 (207) to St Kilda’s 3.11 (29).
