Two unique milestones will be celebrated on Saturday when Collingwood’s VFL side meets Werribee at Avalon Airport Oval.
Captain Jack Hellier becomes the most capped VFL Magpie since the side’s formation in 2008.
In his fifth year on the list, Hellier will play his 70th VFL game – passing another former captain in Kris Pendlebury.
Hellier began his career at Victoria Park in 2012 alongside an 18-year-old West Australian named Corey Gault.
Gault began his career in defence, but will on the weekend celebrate his 50th VFL game as a key member of Collingwood’s forward line.
His return from concussion will be watched closely, as will the performances of Marley Williams and Tyson Goldsack.
Williams played three quarters upon returning from a toe injury against Williamstown two weeks ago, while Goldsack was named as Collingwood’s best player in the five-point win.

On a team level, the Magpies will this week be chasing three wins in a row for the first time this season.
Before the round eight bye Dale Tapping’s side had confidence-boosting wins against Geelong in Geelong and Williamstown at the Holden Centre.
The results have taken the Magpies to ninth position on the ladder, where they trail this week’s opponents Werribee purely on percentage.
As well as recent form, Collingwood enter the round nine clash with an impressive history against the Tigers.
An Adam Treloar-led Magpies were 10-point winners in the pre-season, while last season the Pies advanced to a Semi Final with a 29-point victory at North Port Oval.
