Round 2: Collingwood v Richmond at the MCG - Thursday, March 26, 7.25pm
Clashes between the Magpies and the Tigers are always huge, and this one promises to be as big as any, with Richmond coming off its second premiership in three years and Collingwood desperate to make it three top-four finishes in as many seasons. The clubs' most recent meetings have all been one-sided, with the Pies thrashing the Tigers in the 2018 preliminary final and in round two earlier this year. The Tigers hit back with a big win in round 19. Next year's second clash between the teams is a Friday night game in round 17.

Round 4: Brisbane Lions v Collingwood at the Gabba - Thursday, April 9, 7.35pm
The Lions were the breakout team of 2019, surging into the top four before going out of the finals in straight sets. Expect the Lions to again be a premiership contenter in 2020, so the Easter Thursday clash with the Pies at the Gabba promises to be a beauty. Collingwood comfortably won the corresponding fixture in 2019, but it's hard to see this one being such a one-sided affair. The Pies then host the Lions in round 16 on a Saturday afternoon at the MCG.
Round 8: Greater Western Sydney v Collingwood at Giants Stadium - Saturday, May 9, 7.25pm
This will be the first match between the Magpies and the Giants since the nail-biting preliminary final in late September. It is also the only home and away clash between the clubs in 2020. Expect plenty of fireworks.
Round 11: Collingwood v West Coast at the MCG - Sunday, May 31, 3.20pm
The recent rivalry between these clubs has been huge, with the Eagles prevailing narrowly in the 2018 Grand Final and then knocking ove the Pies again early in the 2019 season. But Collingwood returned serve with a brilliant performance at Optus Stadium in round 17, the Pies saluting by the narrowest of margins in what was arguably their best win of the year. Collingwood and West Coast will meet twice in the 2020 home and away season, with the second game taking place at Optus Stadium on a Friday night in round 22.
Round 18: Collingwood v Geelong at the MCG - Friday, July 17, 7.50pm
The Pies and the Cats have one of the greatest rivalries in the game, a claim supported by the fact that the most finals between any two clubs have been between Collingwood and Geelong. Their most recent meeting was a cliff-hanger, with the Pies prevailing by 10 points in a low-scoring qualifying final. Before that, the team met in round one of the 2019 season, with the Cats winning by seven points.
