Collingwood launched its 2014 brand campaign after its blockbuster clash against Geelong at the MCG on Saturday night.

Produced in-house by Collingwood Media, the ad represents one of a series of videos, which will be broadcast online and on television throughout the season, celebrating the vast array of personalities making up the Magpie Army.

Earlier this year, the club invited supporters to send videos expressing why they love the Collingwood Football Club.

The response was staggering, with over 10,000 videos submitted to the club from over 40 countries, with contributions compiled to produce this first video, which can now be viewed online.

The submissions, featuring videos from supporters, celebrities and past and present players, formed the basis for an AFL first, a fan-generated ad, highlighting the shared experiences and rich history which makes this club great.

The video involves over 2,000 voices and features the actual recording of the iconic ‘Collingwood’ chant from the famous 2010 Preliminary Final triumph over Geelong.  However, from next week, we will invite you to take control, and create your own version of our ad.

In a world first, advanced technology will allow you to jump online and produce a video which can be shared via social media, incorporating footage featuring you, your family, friends or favourite players.

The creators of the best and most exciting fan submissions will then be invited into the Westpac Centre, where they will work alongside our in-house producers within the club’s new production facilities as part of Collingwood Media.
