The MCG was pulsating.
Collingwood and Adelaide had each kicked 15 goals, and the clock was hurtling towards full time.
The screams of 33,269 fans felt more like 66,000 as the Magpies, leading by six points, tried to clear the ball from defence one last time.
At this moment, this crucial juncture of the game, what was unfolding in the Collingwood coaches’ box?
Injured captain Scott Pendlebury has the scoop.
“I thought the desk was about to be ripped off,” Pendlebury told Collingwood Media podcast Jock and Journo.
“It was silent when (Adelaide’s) Jake Kelly took that uncontested mark – then it was a bit of an eruption from the coach, very valid too.

“The ball went back in and Mitch McGovern took an amazing mark (when) he sat on the top of about 14 blokes’ heads and plucked it.”
“There was just silence in the box. It felt like we’d lost the game of footy.”
Pendlebury’s Magpies had led by 38 points at half time and by as much as 50 points early in the third quarter.
But from there, the Crows piled on 13 goals and three behinds to turn the match on its head.
Pendlebury gives his take on a chaotic afternoon at the MCG, the suspension of Brownlow Medallist Patrick Dangerfield, the retirement of St Kilda champion Nick Riewoldt and so much more throughout 39 minutes of Jock and Journo at its best.
