Scott Pendlebury may be out for the season, but he’s got good reason to sink his teeth into rehab from an injured finger.
The Collingwood captain is aiming to be match-fit in time for November’s International Rules series against Ireland.
The five-time All Australian has represented his country before. Pendlebury played two games of the hybrid game in a 2008 series coached by Mick Malthouse.
He plans to add to the tally as soon as possible.
“I’ll be playing,” Pendlebury told Collingwood Media podcast ‘Jock and Journo’.
“It gives me something to get in shape for and get ready for.
“I’ll be able to play that, get in good shape and hit pre-season running.”
