Saturday’s forecast is 14 degrees, with a shower or two expected to pass over Melbourne.
It’s going to be pretty cold at the MCG, meaning it is the perfect time to bring a blanket.
Collingwood is calling on all supporters to bring a blanket to Saturday’s game against Essendon to help support the Magpie Nest Project, which aims to make a genuine difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness.
Supported by premier partner Holden, fans heading to the game can donate new or used (clean) blankets at drop off points outside the MCG. The main collection truck will be located between Gates One and Two, between the Ponsford and MCC Members Stands.
Blankets can also be donated at the Holden Centre or at the Collingwood Shop.
Can’t make it to the ground?
Supporters can put a donation towards a blanket to donate online by visiting the Collingwood Football Club Foundation website here.
