Darcy Moore’s return to the Collingwood senior team has received a big tick of approval from two of the club’s midfield stars.
Scott Pendlebury and Adam Treloar both liked what they saw from the versatile tall in just his fifth game of 2018.
Moore overcame nagging hamstring injuries to play a key role on West Coast star Josh Kennedy.
“I thought Darcy was super on Kennedy,” Pendlebury told co-host Jay Clark on the Jock and Journo podcast.
“Kennedy kicked three goals, but last year he kicked six.
“What Darcy did and his ability to get off and help others was really good.”

Moore was able to gather 14 possessions and pull in six marks in his return showing. He rebounded well from defensive 50, and had a one-percenter tally only one shy of his career-high of nine (against Port Adelaide in round 15, 2015).
This week he may be the key to quelling Coleman Medal leader Ben Brown in a backline lacking height after the season-ending injury to Lynden Dunn.
“If you talk about positives from the game, having him come back and make a return was exceptional,” Treloar said of Moore on Collingwood Media podcast Sports Galore.
“He’s been out for so long, and he’s only played a couple as a defender.
To come out and play on Josh Kennedy… and get the ball and show his dash and be really good was a massive positive for us.”
The discussion regarding Moore’s form was just one of many topics discussed on the ninth episode of Jock and Journo in 2018. Rule changes, NBA-style trading and this season’s standard of football were all on the agenda and can be heard in the module below.
The next episode of Sports Galore with Adam Treloar and Mark Allen will be released on collingwoodfc.com.au on Friday 20 July.

Returning Moore makes a big impression
Darcy Moore impressed both Scott Pendlebury and Adam Treloar in his return game from injury against the West Coast Eagles last weekend.
