Paul Robinson is one of the men behind the cult social media channels 'The Carlton Draft' and 'The Ressies Footballer'

His Black and White passion is unquestionable, and the views represented in this article are solely his own and not representative of the Collingwood Football Club.

This is the first sip of a cold beer on a Friday night.
This is hearing INXS for the first time.
This is the smell of Mum’s cooking on a Sunday night.
It’s the start of something special and we are here for it.

We’re 12-6 and now it’s feeling real. We’re playing finals, and with a win this Saturday night against the Swans, a spot in the top four could be a lock. This predicament with the talent we have on the sidelines is a credit to what King Bucks has built. All hail Bucks.

This Saturday night, two teams flogged by injury will do battle for the much-coveted Andrew Schauble Cup – but the ASC is taking a back seat in importance this week. There’s much more up for grabs now. We’ve got top four on the line and the Swans need to win to keep their season alive.

I’ve hit my quota of clichés now – let’s get to the real stuff.

The red carpet is rolled out. The next Prince of Full Backs is here. Jack Madgen, the heir to the throne left by Jack Raegan, is set to make his debut and go straight to Buddy Franklin.

I tried to find SANFL footage of Madgen. Nope. What about some old photos from his playing days back home in Mount Gambier? No such thing. His only footprint online… throwing down monster slams on basketballers deep in the Bible belt of the United States.

Madgen the baller. Most likely the first and last player we'll recruit out of Delta State University!

Arguably the best forward of our generation is going to be in for a rude shock when he sees jumping Jack Madgen come his way on Saturday evening. Hope you like Krispy Kreme Buddy, because you’ll be getting doughnuts this week.

Sydney midfielders aren’t like fine wine. Once they’re aged – they’re stuffed.

Our boys will run rampant over their once great onballers. Never mind who we have out – it’s all about who’s in. Taylor Adams, Steele Sidebottom and Skip Pendlebury are clicking like they never have before.

It’s little wonder why when they’ve got ruck God Brodie Grundy joining them every centre bounce. In an era full of great ruckman, he’s making the good ones look sub-par. Our boys are getting first use and taking full advantage.

For any of the Black and White army making the trek over to Sydney, be sure to get their early. The 4pm lockout laws are in full swing. Also remember to cheer very quietly. We can’t deal with another noise complaint there!

A win here is vital. Expect Mason Cox to make a mockery of the Swans backline and kick a bag of five on his way to the Mark Orchard Medal.

Go you good things.
