Tyson Goldsack and Sean Rusling are guests this week in a very special finals edition of Magpie Radio’s The Squawk.

The pair, who are both in line for senior selection for Saturday night’s elimination final against Sydney at the MCG, talk about the build up to the big game, and the Magpies’ chances.

Rusling reveals that after complications with his corked thigh he sustained against the Swans in round 21, he is ready to put up his hand for selection.

“I had a few complications with the corky, but it’s come up well now, so I’m ready to go this week, if I get picked,” Rusling explains.

“I’m just very excited. It feels like round three for me. This is what you play footy for, this time of year.”

It’s a busy week for Goldsack, who on Wednesday afternoon headed off to Crown for the AFL Rising Star award lunch, an award he was nominated for in round 21. The 20-year-old is set to play in his first final in his debut season.

“I’m a little bit nervous, looking forward to it though. I’m very eager to play. It’s been a big year and I can’t wait,” says Goldsack.

“I had the week off a couple of weeks ago, so I’m going into finals pretty fresh, and the body’s feeling good. I’m still a bit overwhelmed by it all, I didn’t think I was going to play that many games, I’m just looking forward to finals, really."

Don't miss this week's edition of The Squawk, with Goldy and Rus getting fired up for finals football, as well as telling a few funny yarns about their team mates.
