Big Freeze at the ‘G
For the fourth consecutive year, Collingwood and Melbourne’s Queen’s Birthday blockbuster will double as a fundraising and awareness driver for the Fight MND campaign.

Led by football icon and former Melbourne coach Neale Daniher, the Fight MND cause is designed to finding a cure for the devastating Motor Neuron Disease. Money can be donated online or at the game, and patrons are encouraged to buy and wear a Fight MND blue beanie at the game. CLICK HERE for donation details.

Please note, Fight MND beanies are almost sold out online! The only place to purchase yours will be at Monday's game and at the Holden Centre from 11am.

The Big Freeze 4
Outside of the game itself, the landmark event on Queen’s Birthday at the MCG is the Big Freeze slide. After Olympians, football personalities and celebrities have slide into icy cold water in past years, is 2018 EVERY AFL coach will take the plunge. This includes Nathan Buckley, who will dress up and slide just over an hour before coaching the Magpies against the Demons. CLICK HERE to watch the Collingwood players discuss what costume Bucks should wear going down the slide.

March from the Holden Centre
Big Freeze festivities will start at the Holden Centre before the big game on Monday. The Glasshouse Eatery will be open from 11am, and the Glasshouse Event Space will be abuzz with activity from opening time at midday. Beanies will be on sale, and Neale Daniher will present to the room at approx. 12:15pm. This special event is FREE and open to all members and supporters.

As has been the case in previous years, follow the lead of the Collingwood cheer squad and join us at the Holden Centre before we march from the Lou Richards Statue to the MCG at 1:15pm.

CLICK HERE to plan your trip to the MCG using Melbourne's public transport network.

Please note, significant train disruptions are expected on the day. Yarra Tram's free tram zone has been extended to include stops 9, 10 and 11 on Wellington Parade to compensate for this inconvenience.

It's also strongly encouraged you arrive early and plan your trip using the PTV website.

At the ground:
- Arrive early: Security measures such as wanding and bag checks will have an impact on the time taken to admit patrons to enter the stadium. Please allow extra time and don't leave your arrival until the last minute.
- Be patient: Security inspections take time, so please understand it will take a little longer to move people into the stadium.
- Limit the number of bags you bring: Each bag will be inspected, so the more you bring the longer it will take.
