Drafted from the Geelong Falcons with pick 46 in 2008, Luke Rounds played 18 VFL matches and averaged 11.6 disposals.

Acquired as a hard-nosed midfielder, Rounds was a contributing force on the wing and in patches at half forward.

A natural right footer who showed he was capable of delivering on his left when needed.

Will develop even further with another full preseason.  Don’t be surprised to see number 37 make his senior debut in 2010.

Gavin Brown: Real learning curve for Rounds as he is the youngest player on our list.  Played some good footy and has some enormous upside.

2009 highlights
Round three v Bendigo: Had 20 possessions in the win over the Bombers.  Gavin Brown moved the young Magpie up forward early in the contest and then finished the match down back.  Provided promising signs in just his third game in black and white colours.

Round 12 v Frankston:  Arguably his best game for the club, Rounds excelled as a half-forward assisting in several goals.  He picked up 20 possessions and was praised by Brown for his counter-defensive skills.
