Was omitted from the AFL team for Saturday night’s clash with West Coast. Was then made the carryover emergency, so didn’t play at any level over the weekend.
Ben Crocker
Continued his fine form in the VFL by being names the Pies’ best player in their narrow round one victory over Coburg on Saturday afternoon. Has been playing on the wing and has been winning plenty of the ball.
Ben Reid
Another player named in the VFL Pies’ best after the win over Coburg. In his first game back after recovering from a quad injury, Reid played as a key forward and booted three goals.
Max Lynch
Played a starring role for the VFL Pies in the victory over Coburg, dominating in the ruck with more than 50 hit-outs. Has been getting better each week.
Callum Brown
Has been in solid form in the VFL since being omitted from the AFL side after the round one loss to Geelong. Was named among the VFL Pies’ best players after Saturday’s game.
Flynn Appleby
Has been one of the most consistent performers through the VFL practice matches and the opening round of the season. Has played down back and been in the thick of the action each week.
