Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor and mid-fielder Jordan De Goey will miss next Sunday’s match against Gold Coast due to injuries suffered during the round 19 match against Richmond.

Scans have confirmed that Quaynor suffered a foot stress injury during the encounter and De Goey a low grade hamstring strain.

“Isaac suffered a stress reaction and will have his foot in a protective boot for the next 10 days or so. He will then be reassessed,” said Collingwood GM of Football, Geoff Walsh.

“Jordan played out the match against Richmond but reported minor hamstring soreness afterwards and a scan has revealed a low grade strain that will put him into rehabilitation for 10 days or so.

“We’ll look at both boys then and make calls as to their immediate prospects.”

Meanwhile, Dayne Beams will return to the Holden Centre and the AFL program tomorrow after time away from the club.

The mid-fielder stepped away from the game last month in order to focus upon his mental health.

It is not known at this point when Beams will again be available for selection.

It is anticipated that Dayne will speak publicly about his recent period of leave once he has settled back into the program but until such time the club asks that his privacy be respected.
