Travis Varcoe
Missed Friday night's win over the Sydney Swans after being suspended for a high bump during the previous round's win over St Kilda. Is likely to return for Saturday's clash with Fremantle at the MCG, in which the Pies will again wear the indigenous guernsey that honours his late sister.
Jordan De Goey
Missed the recent wins over the Saints and Swans due to shin soreness. Will attempt to prove his fitness in Thursday's main training session at the Holden Centre as he looks to return to face the Dockers.
Darcy Moore
Also missed the clashes with the Saints and Swans due to a leg problem. Like De Goey, will be out to prove his fitness on the track this week.
Mason Cox
The big forward has missed the past four matches due to the ankle injury he suffered late in the Anzac Day win over Essendon. Will be given the chance to prove himself on the training track this week.
Brayden Sier
Returned from injury with an impressive performance in the VFL Pies' loss to Sandringham at Victoria Park in round six, racking up 21 disposals and a goal while playing predominantly in the midfield. Backed that up with 24 touches in the narrow loss to Geelong at GMHBA Stadium in round seven, then notched up 20 disposals and six tackles in the win over Box Hill on Saturday.
Josh Daicos
Was among the VFL Pies' best players in their loss to the Cats, and was even better on the weekend, dominating the Hawks by racking up 34 touches in a best afield display. His effort was particularly noteworthy given he was a travelling emergency for the AFL team, meaning he travelled to Sydney and back prior to lining up in the VFL.
Isaac Quaynor
The other travelling emergency for the AFL team last weekend, Quaynor made a flying visit to Sydney, then returned to Melbourne and continued his excellent form in the VFL. He finished the win over Box Hill with 26 disposals and six tackles.
