With its third and final pick in the 2019 AFL Draft, Collingwood selected West Aussie defender Trey Ruscoe.
Ruscoe is a tall defender who is a real competitive beast, loving one-on-one contests using his strength and body positioning to great effect.
Consistently performed for Western Australia in their 2019 NAB AFL Under-18 Championship winning team, taking on the most dangerous tall forwards in the opposition.
He has strong hands overhead and averaged 14.8 disposals 5.2 marks and 3.5 tackles across the four matches.
Prior to the 2019 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, he played all his football as a midfielder or forward. The move to defence has added another string to his bow.
