Ex-Pies to star in Legends game
Tarkyn Lockyer heads up a list of several ex-players with Collingwood connections that will take part in the annual EJ Whitten Legends Match next month.
Former Magpie heroes Damian Monkhorst (Victoria), Tarkyn Lockyer and Brodie Holland (All Stars) will take to the field, as will one-time Pies Dermott Brereton (Victoria), Ricky Olarenshaw (Victoria) and Mal Michael (All Stars).
Mitch Hahn, who is currently a development coach alongside Lockyer at VFL level, will also pull on the bright red All Stars jumper.
For those searching for an extra Collingwood connection, former assistant coaches Paul Hudson (2008-2010) and Damien Peverill (2009) will also appear on the night.
Collingwood’s Anthony Rocca provided one of the most memorable moments in the history of the EJ Whitten Legends Match when he roosted an enormous torpedo through the big sticks from 75m out.
